The Division of Population Sciences and Radiation Oncology is looking for a Research Assistant I (RAI) to work on a multi-institutional breast cancer research project that focuses on patient outcomes after radiation therapy in the mastectomy setting. The Research Assistant s efforts will primarily be focused on conducting medical record reviews, interacting with study participants in person and via phone, communicating and working with study personnel at other institutions, monitoring patient accrual numbers at sites, conducting interviews and administering surveys, maintaining regulatory documents, and tracking all study documentation and communication. The RA will work with other Research Assistants, Project Managers, and a variety of clinicians and researchers to accomplish the aims of the projects.

This study will be launching very soon. We are looking for a candidate who can begin working full-time as soon as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conduct medical record reviews for study patients with an emphasis on breast cancer treatment and subsequent outcomes.

* Collect and enter research data.

* Interview study participants via phone or in person.

* Interact with other study personnel, including investigators and support staff from other institutions.

* Track accrual at each site, and trouble shoot problems with accrual

* Send study patients surveys, incentives, and monitor response receipt; collect and organize patient photographs

* Maintain study databases and project documentation with organization and accuracy.

* Assist with documentation for and communication with institutional review board; maintain regulatory documentation.

* Maintain the security and confidentiality of all study materials and data.

* Assist team in the coordination of project-related activities.

* Assist with coordination and preparation of project related meetings as requested and may be responsible for meeting minutes.

* Assist in preliminary analysis of data.

* Conduct relevant literature searches and reviews as requested.

* Other project-related or administrative responsibilities as requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor s degree in public health, natural or social science, or pre-med preferred.

The ideal candidate will have education, experience, and/or interest in:

* Working directly with patients, caregivers, and study participants

* Conducting medical record reviews

* Data collection and entry

* Cancer-related research

* Patient-centered outcomes

* Public Health

* Medicine
