At **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., we believe user research is essential to building phenomenal products; building something truly resonant requires a deep understanding of our customers. We believe well crafted research helps us not only evaluate existing designs, but also form new ideas entirely.
As the first and only full-time researcher at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., you will define and scale how we conduct research. You will work closely with product teams and cross-functional teams to identify appropriate research topics and plan impactful studies. You will regularly meet with startups, agencies, fortune 500 companies, and more to learn about how all sorts of teams work together to design and build great software.
As part of the design team, you will also attend design critiques and brainstorms to take the insights you’ve learned from customers and help us make sure we’re designing great experiences. We believe everyone is a designer, and great ideas can come from anywhere.
Work closely with product teams to identify research topics, and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences accordingly
Distill and share research findings with both small functional teams and the company at-large with in-person presentations, reports, or whatever medium feels appropriate for others to learn and take action on the observations
Contribute to overall strategy and decision-making about product direction
Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing, in the process educating the company on how research works
What We Value
Effective at both written and verbal communication
A deep understanding and experience with a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods both live and remote (e.g. usability studies, interviews, surveys, ethnographic studies, etc.)
Able to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment; scrappy when needed to glean research insights quickly and effectively
Nice to have(s): experience with cross-cultural products and international research, accessibility research, some knowledge of existing the design tools landscape
