Job Summary

FreeWheel, A Comcast Company, is currently seeking a Senior Analyst of Research & Policy to join our Trust and Standards team.

Job Description

The Trust and Standards team works to make FreeWheel the most trusted company in the video ecosystem by ensuring we adhere to the highest standards for brand safety, privacy, standards, compliance, and quality. This team works with the business to: proactively ensure mature, best in class processes that protect and support our customers businesses; enable addressable advertising while respecting viewer privacy and legal requirements; and ensure that the inventory in our marketplace meets our standards for quality, brand safety, and trust. The team is a partner with the business rather than being simply a compliance or legal function.

The Senior Analyst of Research & Policy will work closely with internal partners in product, engineering, network operations, revenue, partnerships, services and legal as well as across Comcast Advertising more broadly to develop and implement policies. The focus will be on data privacy and media measurement. The person in this role will also work across the industry to help to develop policy to ensure a healthy media ecosystem.

Position Responsibilities

Policy Development and Execution

-Strategy - Develop and ensure execution across FreeWheel of our overall strategy and approach to privacy and other trust-related domains.

-Data Privacy Standards - work closely with the business and product to develop policies and technical solutions to ensure compliance with data privacy standards (including but not limited to CCPA, GDPR and the other data privacy legislation). Work with the industry to develop standards and solutions. Work with business, product and legal to determine our appropriate legal status under legislation based on our uses of data.

-Research - provide the business informed insight into the implication of changes in the privacy landscape.

External outreach

-Serve as an industry thought leader on privacy and coordinate across FreeWheel where we need to be proactive in influencing industry standards across the full range of issues.-This role will ideally be based in London or one of our other hubs, but we are flexible on location for the right candidate. The team is based in the US and Europe. You will closely work with our regional teams based primarily in NYC, Chicago, Paris, London, and other major FreeWheel hubs around the globe. Some domestic and international travel is required.About You

-Generally, requires over 5 years of experience in media, advertising, or other applicable experience.

-In-depth knowledge of privacy issues related to Digital Advertising and TV Supply Chain and Programmatic.

-Understanding of IAB privacy initiatives.

-Proven interest in privacy and passionate about working across the industry to find common solutions to problems.

-Equally comfortable in the weeds as shaping and influencing the big picture.

-Commercial mindset coupled with a strong technical understanding.

-Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

-Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.

-Excellent communicator able to bridge between front-line teams and executive level stakeholders.

-Ability to work well across groups in an ambiguous fast-moving environment.

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
