Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities
The Research Manager will provide direct support to the Principal Investigators. Specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to, organizing clinical trials startup and logistics, managing the day to day research administrative needs of the Principal Investigators including grant preparation, literature searches, completing sponsor reports, manuscript preparation, gathering data for complex research grants, and assisting with initial
submissions and the running of operations of clinical trials. This position will also assist the clinical research coordinations with data entry, sponsor queries, and any other project needs. This position will follow
internal processes to ensure compliance with
policies related to research activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory and fiscal compliance standards. They will also be responsible for coordination of contracting between
and third-party sponsors, development of budgets for federal and industry sponsored research, and maintaining post-award accounts of expenses and reimbursements. The Research Manager will also invoice sponsors for specific activities for sponsored research and will meet with the Principal Investigator regularly to review grants, contracts and budgets and will write budget proposals and business plans for project development.
Minimum Hiring Standards
•Strong communication and writing skills
•Strong organizational skills
• Experience with managing multiple federal and industry-sponsored projects simultaneously.
•Experience in project management and supervising staff
•Experience with research compliance and
applications and modifications
• Budget development, maintaining reports for sponsors, and billing for and tracking expenses
•Proficient with quantitative data management and analyses programs
•Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Endnote
•Ability to work in a diverse environment required
•Knowledge of grant writing preferred
•Financial record keeping and budget reconciliation experience required
Preferred Hiring Standards
•Master’s degree in Public Health or Science or equivalent experience
•Grant pre-award and post-award experience highly preferred.
•Grant writing knowledge or experience preferred
•Project management experience highly preferred.

$62,100 - $64,000
