North Bethesda health and human services consulting firm, seeks a mixed-methods analyst to join fast-paced multidisciplinary research team that validates, analyzes, and reports on data from federal child welfare case reviews. The CWCRT/CWRP team's work aims to enhance understanding of results in context of state child welfare programs and improve national program performance.
The Research Analyst will use a high level of attention to detail and organization to play a key role in managing: a) quantitative and qualitative data collection; b) data cleaning and analysis; and c) document management and tracking. The successful candidate will take an active role in continually developing/refining procedures and analytic approaches to maintain methodological rigor while maximizing responsiveness to client information needs. Additionally, the Research Analyst will prepare client-ready analyses and findings reports for a variety of audiences, working in coordination with the research director.
The successful candidate will enjoy collaborative work environment while also having ability to work independently. Position is in North Bethesda office. Will consider other options for the right candidate.
Minimum Experience/ Education Requirements
The individual should have the following: a Master's degree in social sciences with particular expertise in analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data; 3-5 years of research and evaluation experience; proficiency with SPSS (e.g., descriptive statistics, correlations, t-tests), MS Access (e.g., running queries, building databases), general MS Excel functions, and qualitative analytic software (e.g., reviewing and coding in Atlas.ti); and ability to communicate research and evaluation findings clearly to a variety of audiences both orally and in writing. Understanding of federal child welfare reviews is desired and management experience is a plus.
