We are now hiring Req #195 Research Coordinator 5.1 - Clerical Administrative Support Workers Hourly FT-40 Tuesday, August 7, 2018 Formerly Puget Sound Blood Center and Lane Blood Center, Bloodworks is backed by more than 70 years of Northwest history and 250,000 donors. A national leader in transfusion medicine, Bloodworks has been chosen to serve more than 90 hospitals in Washington, Oregon and Alaska - partnering closely with local hospitals to deliver the highest level of patient care. Patients with traumatic injuries, undergoing surgeries or organ transplantation, or receiving treatment for cancer and blood disorders all depend on our services, expertise, laboratories and research. We are local, nonprofit, independent, volunteer-supported and community-based.
Bloodworks NW is seeking a research coordinator for our research team. This position will collaborate in the design, organization and implementation of several research protocols exploring the transfusion of autologous blood products into healthy volunteers or donor products into patients. This position will be involved in all aspects of the research study including recruit, enroll, collect samples, complete case report forms, enter, organize and analyze study data, complete Internal Review Board submissions, manage regulatory documents, ensure compliance and act as a liaison to clinical staff and study sponsors on clinical trial activities.
Requirements include: Bachelor degree in nursing or health related field or equivalent education and experience. Prior experience managing clinical research projects, blood drawing, platelet apheresis and blood banking experience is preferred. Experience with regulatory paperwork and the Institutional Review Boards involved with research of human subjects is preferred; technical writing skills desired. Must have strong attention to detail. Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated familiarity with computerized, analysis, records management, including demonstrated computer skills using MS Office and web based data management. Must be highly organized, able to multi-task and work independently, take initiative to start and complete projects.
