Minimum qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Organizational Behavior, Personality Psychology, Social Psychology, Sociology, Behavioral Economics, Labor Economics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with fundamentals (e.g., ANOVAs and/or regressions) and one or more advanced approaches (e.g., factor analysis, network analysis, LASSO, HLM, SEM).

Experience designing, developing, implementing, and analyzing data from surveys and/or experimental research. Experience conducting research in an applied setting.

Experience translating technical information for a non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with R, SPSS, STATA, or other statistical languages.

Experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, decision science, personality/individual differences, and/or longitudinal analysis research.

Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders

Excellent consulting, client management, and project management skills.

Excellent analytical skills.

The team provides critical support to the business around issues of organizational health and is responsible for not just taking the pulse of our Googlers, but harnessing Googler feedback to drive change for the better. As an analyst you'll be detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical and curious. You're a strong problem-solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done. We are a group of social scientists who conduct experimental, survey, and archival research to inform people-related business decisions. Example content areas include, but are not limited to, employee development, diversity and inclusion, leadership, employee well-being, hiring, personality, and longitudinal data analysis. Our team members have research backgrounds, with PhDs in I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior (micro and macro), Social Psychology, and related fields.

In this role, you will be a quantitative researchers contributing to Google-wide research and analysis efforts supporting equity, inclusion, and personality/individual differences research.

Use analytical reasoning to identify problems and develop hypotheses that can be tested.

Design and implement new research studies, analyze data, and report on results of research initiatives to a business audience.

Build effective relationships and collaborate with teammates, business leaders, and HR clients to solve organizational problems. Communicate findings and recommendations to influence leaders to take action on the results.

Work through ambiguity (e.g., create structure from nothing, develop deadlines).

Connect disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations, using creative, structured, and analytical thinking. Use data visualization to help communicate your ideas.
