Position Description: The contract research assistants will conduct in-depth research on entrepreneurs who have reached scale in the US. The main purpose of the research is to 1) explore the backgrounds and growth strategies of entrepreneurs who reached scale coming from groups traditionally underrepresented in entrepreneurship across sectors and cities in the US 2) and map their pathways to inclusion. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables: Research assistants will manage and monitor outreach efforts, as well as conduct interviews with entrepreneurs across US markets to develop recommendations for Endeavor Insight and its research partners on how to best support the growth of entrepreneurs from traditionally underrepresented groups. Skills & Qualifications: Successful candidates should be capable of managing large amounts of data and should possess strong quantitative skills; attention to detail, enjoy interviewing; and ideally, have a passion for economic development and Endeavor's mission. Works With: The research assistants will be working with all the members of the Endeavor Insight team, preferably on site at the Endeavor office. This project is\u00a0sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and is conducted as part of the of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network. The Contract Research Assistants\u00a0will be working\u00a040 hours per week from mid-April till early June, and\u00a0will ideally be out of the Endeavor Global office in New York City, working directly with the Endeavor Insight Team. They will conduct interviews, send out surveys, and research companies and interview founders. Duties will include: - Conducting interviews with founders across sectors in the US - Researching companies and their founders - Conducting and tracking email outreach - Helping the Insight team clean and organize survey data - Conducting research on successful entrepreneurship support programs around the world. Qualifications - Recent graduates, with a strong academic record and an interest in research. - Fluent in English. - Strong writing skills in English. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. - Experience and ability with Microsoft Excel a plus. - Demonstrated interest in economic development or entrepreneurship is a plus. Timeframe Candidates will be interviewed beginning ASAP and notified of final decisions by late March. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis. Compensation Compensation will be competitive.
