At Qualcomm Research Philadelphia, we are looking for talented research engineers to join our autonomous driving team. We work collaboratively with Qualcomm teams across the world to solve exciting challenges in perception, localization, object tracking, decision-making, motion planning, and control.
Our state-of-the-art facilities are located within the Pennovation Works, a collaborative campus for technology, design, art, engineering, and medicine.
We are looking for a software engineer to join our systems integration and test team. In this role, you will:
Create and develop high-fidelity simulation frameworks and visualizations for autonomous driving
Expand analysis tools and automated data processing pipelines
Analyze data from simulation and real-world testing
Work closely and build relationships with experts in robotics, AI, and machine learning

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2 years Software Engineering or related work experience.
2 years experience with Programming Language such as C, C , Java, Python, etc.
Experience with autonomous systems in one or more of the following areas: planning under uncertainty, decision-making, tracking and prediction, vehicle control systems, perception, localization, estimation, and machine learning
Experience working with, modifying, and creating advanced algorithms
Experience programming in C and Python
MS or Doctorate in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field
Extensive experience working with autonomous driving systems
Large scale probabilistic planning and prediction
Advanced vehicle dynamics and control
Multi-modal sensor fusion for localization and dynamic object tracking
Deep learning for robotics
High-fidelity simulation of dynamic systems in virtual worlds
Robust software design for safety-critical systems
Required: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics
Preferred: Master's or Doctorate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics
