Description:

BIA R&D frequently leads key initiatives in strategic, operational and analytic domains, many of which are highly visible, cross functional, highly complex, with significant investment, and innovative in nature. This position would provide leadership to lead and drive partnerships forward in alignment with sponsors and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

Expertly leads building and integration of digital health strategy across departments and matrix functions to enable core and emerging business objectives.

Responsible for strategy development, landscape assessment, conceptual design, and ensuring flawless execution of partnership goals through innovative data and analytics for Digital Health partnerships/relationships from exploration to monitoring

Responsible for managing alliances of high complexity, value, and risk toward objectives

Lead or co-lead partnership negotiations and communicate key deal issues, risks, and updates to leadership and senior internal stakeholders, including collaborating with internal legal team in drafting and revising term sheet and contracts.

Anticipate matrix team requirements and drive projects from concept to completion with a goal of bringing innovative thinking and solutions to stakeholders

Provide expertise in research, clinical operations, and business innovation to lead internal/external collaboration toward innovative business solutions

Independently drive, take actions and hold other team members accountable for progressing projects

Responsible for communicating progress on all strategic project/relationships including communicating and coordinating goals, milestones, responsibilities and risks across the matrix organization

Provide senior and executive leadership recommendations related to partnership strategy

Efficiently lead cross functional team meetings and communicate updates to leadership

Responsible for putting together and executing the overall communication plan for cross-horizontal digital health projects and BIA RD innovation communications

Ensures the development of project plan, timelines, exploration summaries, and any other documentation necessary to ensure effective execution.

Provides leadership in understanding, communicating and managing a portfolio of alliances

Responsible for improvement of DH evergreen process

Develops communication and change management plans for new solutions, and ensure follow-through until business solutions are in place or long term alternate solutions are identified

Position Requirements

B.S./B.A. in Business, Business Development

MBA/Master degree or higher education preferred

Consulting experience preferred

6 years of work experience, with equivalent experience to have led cross-functional projects/programs autonomously with proven outcomes and success

Strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry issues, trends, and their business impact

Subject matter expert in the drug development and clinical operations process

Effectively manage partnership

Demonstrated mastery of project management and creating impactful presentations

Preferred experience in digital health

Ability to work autonomously and report on issues and outcomes, escalate, make decisions and resolve issues quickly.

Demonstrated ability to communicate with leadership teams and shape presentations with minimal input from multiple stakeholders

Demonstrated program management, and experience managing multiple ongoing complex projects in parallel.

Works well with and exerts influence on multi-disciplinary teams. Facilitates candid dialogue and cross-functional collaboration.

Demonstrated ability to drive cross functional project teams towards goals and decisions, including identifying barriers, facilitating solutions and communicating to project sponsors process challenges.

Demonstrated finance/budget management experience

Strong understanding of all aspects of pharmaceutical company operations (translational medicine, clinical operations, health outcomes etc)

Strong MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Sharepoint skills

Exposure to analytics teams and environments preferred

Confidence to communicate with senior BMS and external stakeholders (e.g. partners, vendors).

Positive attitude, strong energy, and excellent communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical team members, executive, senior, and middle level management
