Job Description

Employees in this role use a variety of formal and informal requirement/design artifacts to architect, design, prototype and implement software components and systems to meet the indicated requirements. They can flexibly adapt to rapidly changing customer or project requirements inherent in a research project, but are also able to integrate as necessary into formal products and services. They also ensure that the implemented components are tested and ready to be integrated into the project systems and proofs of concept. Software Engineering Researchers are expected to be agile in their development methodology, while also able to solve difficult problems, explore new domains, and work well across world-wide teams. The employee learns the business and develops professionalism.

Skills :Environment:

Minimal or no experience required.

Knowledge acquired from academic institutions.

Requires ability to absorb professional knowledge and develop skills quickly.

Communication/Negotiation:

Train to draw on professional concepts to collaborate with others to carry out assigned duties.

Problem solving:

Learn to follow given procedures and processes to identify job-related problems, analyze causes using existing techniques or tools.

Contribution/Leadership:

Work is reviewed for developmental purposes.

Understand the standard mission of the professional group and vision in own area of competence.

Impact on Business/Scope:

Accountable for individual or team results. May contribute by supporting activities.

Work output may impact customer satisfaction, or impact immediate costs or expenses.
