Please join our dedicated staff of employee-owners in an environment that values diversity and supports health, well-being, and professional growth.The Research Associate II manages the development of protocols, protocol implementation, and protocol closure processes or another major project, such as website or database development and management, or a quality improvement program. The Research Associate II participates in activities to improve the overall quality of work and the working environment. In addition, this position may cover for the Product Safety Specialist in reviewing SAEs and writing narratives for events. RN or other clinical background is preferred.Manage and complete small projects such as protocol development and implementation or website and portal maintenance from start to finish independently, consulting with their manager and other staff as needed, and informing them appropriately. Utilize refined project management skills and use all project management tools effectively. Identify issues and develop new tools or templates that may be needed.Proactively guide and direct teams or groups to accomplish goals in a timely manner. Ensure quality documents, database, and website information by participating in quality assurance activities. Actively participate in staff and group meetings and working groups, identify issues and concerns that may need to be addressed by a working group, and volunteer to lead the working group. Keep his\/her manager informed of any issues. Update the database to ensure all information is current and accurate and use database reports as project management tools. Function independently and manage a heavy workload with several concurrent priorities. Participate in the mentoring and training of other staff.Support a committee, if assigned.Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and at least five years professional experience in a scientific or health-related position or Bachelor’s degree in a non-scientific field and at least six years of experience in a scientific or health-related positionMaster’s degree preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAt least two years of experience in the design, development, conduct, or analysis of clinical researchExcellent verbal and written communication skills, which may include business and technical writing, editing, and proofreadingExcellent interpersonal and client management skills with a professional and customer service oriented demeanorMust be proficient and have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointSSS is committed to fostering a diverse workforce and is proud to be an Affirmative Action\/Equal Opportunity Employer of
