Position Description

This study will require a 1.00 FTE research coordinator with a master's degree in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, or community mental health counseling through June 30, 2023. This person will be responsible for coordinating a 911 call review study as part of a larger evaluation of an ongoing behavioral health alternative responder intervention. In addition to coordinating the 911 call review study, the individual will also be responsible for coordinating with the participating agencies, coding emergency 911 data and first responder reports for behavioral health indicators, reliability, and validity, analyze data, and assist in writing reports. All these functions will take place in close coordination with project leadership in the conduct of this project. Candidates must be able to obtain NCIC certification. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Maintain day-to-day coordination and supports project leadership to assure efficient implementation of the research protocol and maintain program fidelity.
  • Collaborate with project leadership and the other program investigators and sites to achieve targets for study start up, data collection, and analysis.
  • Manage all aspects of coding 911 calls and other first responder data for behavioral health indicators. 
  • Develop/contribute to project reports including protocol and informed consent forms, study manuals, source documentation templates, recruitment materials, and other study tools.
  • Collaborate with agencies as needed for program implementation.
  • Assist with IRB submissions, maintenance of regulatory documents and responding to study related questions from sites, stakeholders, and sponsors in a timely fashion.
  • Provide consistent and timely communication (e.g., funding updates, progress reports, team meetings, etc.) to project sponsors, other program managers, the project team, director and other leadership involved in the project to include a formal reporting process, understanding of the project vision and current status.
  • Assists with planning and review of monitoring plans and tracking of all phases of the program.
  • Performs additional tasks and responsibilities, as requested.

This is a grant-supported position. Employment is contingent upon continued funding.
