Research Technician Jobs description
The research technician studies past statistics and figures to predict future sales and gathers data on competitors, rival business companies, and collect the necessary technical information for deciding on the promotion, distribution, design, and price of products or services. He conducts technical research surveys to determine consumer preferences, tastes and the ongoing trends in the market. Analysis of public opinion and attitude towards a particular product or notion is also a part of the work of a research technician. The research technician maintains databases and regularly updates them with relevant information garnered from the interviewees. The interviewees can be high-profile businessmen or even a layman, depending on the type of audience the survey demands, although the research technician gleans information from experts basically. The research technician also creates presentation slides, and graphs to explain his or her researched information to the research analyst or the company heads.A bachelor's degree in the marketing field or business management is the minimum of requirements for being a research technician.
