Position Description:

Successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with 10 or more years of research experience in bio-medical research. A strong background in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology and toxicology is preferred. The successful candidate will perform site directed mutagenesis studies, flow cytometry to analyze rare cells in humans and experimental animals, generate reagents to make genetically altered mice, develop ELISA assays to assess immunotoxicity and perform immunofluorescence studies. Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor research fellows and supervise graduate students , post-doctoral fellows, and research technologists working at the Envirome Institue is required.  The selected candidate will also be responsible for preparing the scientific progress reports for the funding agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duties will be to perform cell culture and transfection assays, quantitative PCR, Western blotting, ELISAs, molecular biology assays etc. The selected candidate will also train graduate students and post-doctoral fellows and write manuscripts and prepare progress reports.

Minimum Requirements

Doctorate degree in a related field of Science and at least fifteen years of related laboratory experience.
